  STRATEGIC ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE CONSULTING (SOCC)

Why WCI?   What is Strategic Organizational Change?

Because we been involved with strategic organizational change for over 20 years, as leaders of it, as strategic advisors to others implementing it in their organizations.

Because we have learned from our experience, both the successes and the failures.

Because our goal is to make sure that you succeed, no matter what industry you are in, and or how large or small the scope of your change plan.

Because no matter what the pundits say, strategic organizational change is never easy, and we have the experience to persist and to drive through to the end, even though there are inevitable setbacks along the way.

How do strategic organizational change consulting engagements start?

They start with deep dialogue - focused conversation - between the key internal decision maker and the external senior consultant.

If you need such deep dialogue, contact Roelf Woldring by e-mail or by phone. Let's talk. The first meeting is always exploratory.

Strategic organizational change has 3 phases and 3 critical success factors.

The three phases are:

  1. Getting Engaged - figuring out if the in-house team's perception of the situation is complete
  2. Setting Direction - working with the in-house team to define what the desired state looks like.
  3. Taking Action - making it happen. preparing:
  • this week's,
  • next week's,
  • next month's,
  • next quarter's,
  • next year's action plans on the

  • financial,
  • human resource,
  • information technology,
  • marketing,
  • product development,
  • operations and
  • strategic partnering levels.

Carrying them out, and adapting to changing events without losing sight of the final goal. Measuring success along the way to make sure that results stay aligned with the goal.

The three critical success factors are:

  1. Trust - inside the inner team and with the consultant,
  2. Persistence - moving forward towards the goal, adapting as required to changing events,
  3. Urgency - making sure that things move continuously and visibly, so that the inevitable setups are handled out of a sense of past accomplishment.
